Plastic bottle palm tree workshop

SSQQ member Yangwoo organised a second amazing plant workshop. The first was on 9 July about modifying cactuses, last Saturday it was about making a palm tree from beer bottles. The brown plastic one liter beer bottles are collected in the Han-river. The temperature in the covered courtyard is tropical, the snacks are delicious and tonight beer is free.

800/40

On wikipedia I found that "today, Seoul is considered a leading and rising gobal city, resulting from an economic boom called the Miracle on the Han River which transformed it to the world's 4th largest metropolitan economy". The name of art space '800/40' refers to the monthly rent the place costs. 800/40 is also dealing with the lack of space by providing a 24 hour residency. The view is terrific on the terrace above street level. (the weather was not terrific)

 

The show yesterday opened is titled: uncertain frequency. The artist makes use of electric massage gear to produce noise + smoke and stroboscope.
